Editing a product in a WP e-commerce shop

After creating a store product, editing the product in your WP e-commerce store is pretty simple. Here are the basic instructions. If you find you are in need of more details, please ask.

  1. Log into your WordPress website.
  2. From the Dashboard, click e-Commerce to expand it.
  3. Click on Products.
  4. Click on the title of the product you want to edit.
  5. Update the fields you wish to add or change.
  6. Click on the Edit Product button at the bottom of the page.

That’s all it takes.

Note, if you add a new image, it replaces the original image. Presently, you cannot add multiple images to a product when using the free version. To upgrade to the Gold Cart there is a fee — but the fee is very reasonable and worth it if you need a lot more “power.”

  1. You said “Presently, you cannot add multiple images to a product.” That’s only true of the free version of WP Ecommerce but if you pay $25 for the Gold Cart version then multiple product images are possible.

Oh – yes. That is right. To get some serious power from your WP e-commerce shop you can upgrade to the Gold Cart. It is a great deal for a great piece of software.
